PKWARE Reflects on 2021 Highlights—Strong Company Growth, Customer Expansion, Award Wins, and More

2021 was another whirlwind year of combatting COVID-19 and adjusting how we work to protect customers’ data and move the business forward, despite the continued global pandemic. As we look ahead to 2022 and all the accomplishments we hope to achieve—including further expanding into new sectors, building the best team globally, and increasing our customer base—we are also reflecting on our tremendous growth and success in 2021. We welcomed several new executives and saw the promotion of others, as well as won a significant amount of industry awards for our comprehensive data security product suite.

Data Security is More Important Than Ever

Business-wise, the need for data security solutions is more important and in demand than ever, as 2021 saw an unprecedented amount of cyberattacks on businesses across industries, including critical infrastructure. True to this need, PKWARE’s 2021 subscriptions increased 40 percent over 2020, showcasing the continued demand for PK Protect’s holistic data protection solutions.

PKWARE also expanded its customer base to include popular ecommerce companies, major automotive and financial brands, and even a professional sports team. Additionally, several of our existing customers continue to increase the services we provide to them, fully taking advantage of our comprehensive security tools, including discovery to find sensitive data across the enterprise; encryption to protect data wherever it moves; and compliance to assure businesses are meeting global regulatory requirements.

Award-Winning People and Products

The company was thrilled to welcome several new executives and promotions, including our chief technology officer, Jason Dobbs. The company also appointed three vice presidents, Sandy Landrigan as VP, Integrations and Customer Solutions; Kathy Myhand as VP of People; and Mike Wood as VP, Product Management. Additionally, we have plans to continue to expand our executive team as we kick off 2022.

Our team was honored to receive a number of awards in 2021, showcasing PK Protect’s value in the market. These include:

Lastly, we were proud to unveil our new branding and product relaunch under PK Protect, which officially incorporates the offerings of Dataguise, which we acquired in 2020. PK Protect includes enhanced data discovery and protection functionality, which further builds upon our mission to help customers find and secure their most sensitive and valuable data, wherever it lives or moves.

Growing into 2022

As businesses continue to face the uncertainty of the pandemic nearly two years after it began, we’re delivering on our promise to deliver complete data security to our customers. We expect 2022 to be another year of growth and achievements and we’re looking forward to building upon our existing product suite with more capabilities in discovery, masking, classification, and more.
