Product Development Opportunities

Location: Milwaukee

What We're Working On

High-profile data breaches such as Sony, the US Office of Personnel Management, and Ashley Madison have revealed the growing need for unconventional approaches to data security in the enterprise. Enter PKWARE. Our software, Smartcrypt, moves encryption from the network or disk down to the individual file. Smartcrypt is designed for large enterprises and government entities and is available on all major client operating systems.

About The Role

PKWARE offers a smorgasbord of testing opportunities for Quality Assurance Engineers. We test our servers on both windows and ubuntu and front end clients for iOS, Android, Windows, Mac, Linux, Unix and our server web app. To accomplish and ship a quality product in realistic release cycles, we embrace and empower testing strategies that include automated testing. This doesn’t mean we don’t manually test our products, so if you believe you are above manual testing, we are not for you.

What You'll Do

Our Quality Assurance Engineers look for everything that can be automated, and then automate it. It might be testing, it might be deploying or it might be reporting. This attitude and approach lets us focus on spending time solving and testing the really hard features/problems. New technologies and tools to improve our testing efforts are welcome and help drive innovation and productivity within our own team. You’ll work with Software Engineers to learn about features coming in future releases ensuring they are tested along the way. Planning and coordinating testing efforts with the Quality Assurance Manager will ensure the maximum effort is applied to produce a high quality product that meets internal and external acceptance criteria. You are not coming to PKWARE to push buttons all day, you are coming to PKWARE to utilize all your problem solving and engineering skills to push yourself to learn to be a better Quality Assurance Engineer every day.
