V12 Maintenance Release 4
This maintenance release is available for all users of PKZIP Server and SecureZIP Server v12.x.
If you are updating from 8.x, you will need to obtain a new license key. Your current v8.x key will not work with this update. Customers on maintenance should contact PKWARE Customer Service to obtain a new key for this update.
PKZIP/SecureZIP Server v12.4 Enhancements:
- 64-bit edition for use with 64-bit versions of Windows Vista and Windows 7

This maintenance release is available for all users of PKZIP Server and SecureZIP Server v12.0 or v12.1. It provides the following product enhancements and fixes:

- 7127 - Corrected an unexpected program termination that may occur when
viewing a ZIP file encrypted for more than 3000 recipients.
- 7221 - Corrected a problem using the file rename feature when converting path separators.
- 7227 - Corrected a problem where -directory and -path options where not being using when extracting a file from STDIN.
- 7392 - Corrected an error in the User Manual for the -times option
- 7507 - Corrected a problem where directories in an archive are not deleted using
–delete.
- 7565 - Corrected a problem where a dot '.' used in command line with the -delete
option acts like a wildcard.
- 7567 - Corrected operation of the -silent=fileheader option.
- 7831 - Corrected a problem where streaming an input file larger than 4GB may
result in a incorrect archive.
- 7841 - Corrected a problem using the -logerror option on Windows systems that
resulted in an unexpected program termination.
- 7843 - Corrected a problem where PKZIP/SecureZIP may incorrectly report a
CRC error when extracting a file from a GZIP archive.
- 7963 - Corrected a problem processing data from a pipe when the file size is a multiple of the system _PC_PIPE_BUF value.

- 4778 - Corrected a problem where the program will not run on AIX 5.1 and reports an fd_select error.

The Command Line Only installation packages were designed for systems that do not have a GUI interface (i.e. CDE, X-Windows, etc.).
The Setup patch updates the packaged install script (setup.sh) to better integrate with new operating system releases.
Each update includes a README.TXT for additional installation instructions.
